NaNoWriMo

So a couple of people that frequent the same haunts as me online are participating in the NaNoWriMo comp. Apparently, the idea is you write a whole fuckload of stuff (50,000 words to be precise, which is apparently 175 pages or something. Scary numbers to me.), and all within the month of November. Writing ability and good plot ideas not a requirement. I know it's now 8 days too late, but I might sign up anyway and give it a go. =]

know what irks me?

when they cast non-smokers to play smokers in films. was watching american history x (which you should all go and watch, if you haven't already), and it drove me insane, haha. i mean, if they're a non-smoker, at least don't try and force them to look like they are - having closeup shots of them 'smoking' is just stupid, no?

maybe it's just me. =P

general updatez tiem.

So I'm now gonna ramble on to you for a bit. =]

Job hunt's not going so well. Still applying, still either being turned down or ignored completely. It's bucketloads of fun, honestly! On the plus side though, I managed to get a ticket to see Steel Panther in Nottingham at the end of the month, which is going to be fucking awesome, to say the least. =D

Also came across GivesMeHope, which is kinda like the opposite of FMyLife - people can submit stories that, funnily enough, gave them hope. Random acts of kindness, or selfless acts they've witnessed. It's really uplifting, and a fair few of the entries are enough to bring a tear to your eye, haha. You should definitely check it out. Like, now.

There was something else I was meant to say, but I've forgotten what it was. Thus, adios for now. =]
